So, during the time he was in Alfa-music, Jay and Vincent Fang unable to sell their music because their music are considered 'weird'. Jay will sleep and shower at the office, barely leaving the studio to produce music. This life style continuos for three years and 落雨聲, sing by Jody Chiang, was the only song they able to sell during this era.
One day, an artist manager find out Jay could compose and sing, so he arrange him to debut as a singer. Jacky Wu then challenge Jay to made 50 songs in 10 days as his debut requirement and he did it! (with Vincent Fang's help with the lyrics, ofc). Jacky Wu then choose 10 songs among the 50 and make Jay a debut album. Jay's debut was an instant hits!
Jay has always been grateful for Jacky Wu's help, even proudly state in his prize acceptence speech that “If there were no Jacky Wu, there would be no Jay Chou.” yet, in 2001, due to financial problem Jacky Wu sold Alfa-music including artists under it without the artist themself knowing.
